Gas analysis provides a promising means for a diagnosis of gas-insulated equipment. Although many studies have been concentrated on SF6 gas decomposition, they were mostly related to the faults in GIS systems and not directly applicable to gas-insulated transformers, which have much more complicated material structure. An experimental survey on decomposition by-products at various abnormal conditions was carried out by use of simulation models to develop a diagnostic method for gas-insulated transformers based on gas and ion chromatograph analyses. Major components characteristic in each abnormality, such as SO2 on metal overheat, SO2F 2 on partial discharges, etc. were identified by the experiments  相似文献

The binding of antibiotics (gentamicin, oleandomycin and chloramphenicol) to vitelline and fertilization envelopes and their extracts was investigated by immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical techniques and immunoblot analysis using mature and artificially activated eggs of the fish Oncorhynchus masou. Binding of antibiotics was detected in the vitelline and fertilization envelope outermost layers, the fertilization envelope inner surface and cortical alveolus exudates, with differences in immunoreactive intensity and deposition. The fertilization envelope outermost layer had the capacity to bind much greater amounts of the antibiotics than the vitelline envelope outermost layer. The greater capacity was caused by the deposition of cortical alveolus exudates, which were known to be responsible for functional roles of protection against bacteria, fungi and noxious materials. Treatment of the vitelline and fertilization envelopes with neuraminidase markedly reduced the binding of gentamicin and chloramphenicol but slightly increased that of oleandomycin; binding of the latter to the vitelline and fertilization envelope outermost layers was considerably reduced after treatment with alpha-fucosidase. Treatment of the two envelopes with alpha-mannosidase, beta-galactosidase or beta-D-glucosaminidase did not cause any alteration in immunoreactive intensity or number of immunoreactive deposits. Immunoblot analysis of the vitelline or fertilization envelope extracts indicated that many of the antibiotic-binding substances were glycoproteins, and several major bands were bound by all three antibiotics. These results suggest that the vitelline or fertilization envelopes may have the ability to protect the egg itself, or the embryo, respectively, by trapping antibiotics, and the trapping may be related to the presence of carbohydrate moieties, such as sialyl or fucosyl residues.  相似文献

We surveyed a random sample (n = 75) of doctors and dentists at University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. They were offered anonymous testing for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis Be antigen (HBeAG), antibodies to hepatitis B core antigen (anti-HBc) and to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV), by enzyme immunoassay. The results suggest a high prevalence of hepatitis B virus (HBV) with a high potential of transmissibility, as well as a high prevalence of HCV infection. The majority of the doctors and dentists use universal precaution for protection against viral hepatitis on < 50% of the occasions when they carry out procedures on their patients. Infection with HBV was associated with type of specialty (surgeons, dentists) and lack of HBV vaccination (p < 0.05). After logistic regression, these factors were independently associated with HBV infection (p < 0.05). Sixty (80%) had not received prior HBV vaccination. Unvaccinated personnel were more likely to be surgeons, dentists, < 37 years of age, and have fewer years of professional activity (p < 0.05). After logistic regression, only fewer years of professional activity remained independently associated with lack of vaccination (p < 0.05). To reduce the occupational exposure of HBV, universal precautions must be rigorously adhered to when the doctors and dentists carry out procedures on their patients, and all health-care workers should be vaccinated with HBV vaccine and the HCV vaccine, when it becomes available.  相似文献

To investigate the contribution of the platelet aggregation in the development of cardiovascular diseases, we examined the relation of constitutional and lifestyle variables with platelet aggregation for a total of 306 males aged 50 to 70 in Ikawa town, Akita prefecture (n = 163) and Noichi town, Kochi prefecture (n = 143). The examination of platelet aggregation was completed within 3 hours of obtaining blood samples. We used ADP (Adenosine 5'-diphosphate) as an agonist and obtained PATI (the platelet aggregatory threshold index) by nephelometry. Platelet count, mean platelet volume, white blood cell count, serum fatty acid compositions were also examined and dietary intake of fish, seafood and soy bean foods were inquired using one-week dietary records. PATI indicated a logarithmic normal distribution in both Ikawa and Noichi. The mean of logarithmic transformed PATI (log PATI) was higher in Ikawa than in Noichi. Thus platelet aggregation was lower in Ikawa than in Noichi. According to multiple regression analysis, age, platelet count in platelet rich plasma, mean platelet volume in platelet rich plasma, and white blood cell count were inversely associated with log PATI. Serum arachidonic acid composition tended to be inversely related with log PATI. Serum n3-polyunsaturated fatty acid composition was positively related with log PATI, and log gamma-GTP tended to be positively associated with log PATI. Soy protein intake and cigarette smoking showed no consistent associations with log PATI. This cross-sectional study suggests that serum n3-polyunsaturated fatty acid, and gamma-GTP, as an index of alcohol intake, reduce platelet aggregation while age, white blood cell count, platelet count, mean platelet volume, and serum arachidonic acid raise platelet aggregation.  相似文献

Cardiotoxicity of interferon-alpha or gamma, such as fatal arrhythmia and myocardial infarction, has been reported. Therefore cardiotoxicity of interferon should be seriously considered before administration for patients with a pre-existing heart disease. We treated a patient with chronic active hepatitis type B, coexisted with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, who has had frequent attacks of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. To prevent the occurrence of fatal arrhythmia with an interferon therapy in this patient, we performed radiofrequency catheter ablation of the Kent bundle. After the successful ablation, we could safely administered recombinant interferon alpha-2b for chronic hepatitis type B.  相似文献

The 35 nm gate length CMOS devices with oxynitride gate dielectric and Ni salicide have been fabricated to study the feasibility of higher performance operation. Nitrogen concentration in gate oxynitride was optimized to reduce gate current I/sub g/ and to prevent boron penetration in the pFET. The thermal budget in the middle of the line (MOL) process was reduced enough to realize shallower junction depth in the S/D extension regions and to suppress gate poly-Si depletion. Finally, the current drives of 676 /spl mu/A//spl mu/m in nFET and 272 /spl mu/A//spl mu/m in pFET at V/sub dd/=0.85 V (at I/sub off/=100 nA//spl mu/m) were achieved and they are the best values for 35 nm gate length CMOS reported to date.  相似文献

The unique five‐membered aminocyclitol core of the antitumor antibiotic pactamycin originates from d ‐glucose, so unprecedented enzymatic modifications of the sugar intermediate are involved in the biosynthesis. However, the order of the modification reactions remains elusive. Herein, we examined the timing of introduction of an amino group into certain sugar‐derived intermediates by using recombinant enzymes that were encoded in the pactamycin biosynthesis gene cluster. We found that the NAD+‐dependent alcohol dehydrogenase PctP and pyridoxal 5′‐phosphate dependent aminotransferase PctC converted N‐acetyl‐d ‐glucosaminyl‐3‐aminoacetophonone into 3′‐amino‐3′‐deoxy‐N‐acetyl‐d ‐glucosaminyl‐3‐aminoacetophenone. Further, N‐acetyl‐d ‐glucosaminyl‐3‐aminophenyl‐β‐oxopropanoic acid ethyl ester was converted into the corresponding 3′‐amino derivative. However, PctP did not oxidize most of the tested d ‐glucose derivatives, including UDP‐GlcNAc. Thus, modification of the GlcNAc moiety in pactamycin biosynthesis appears to occur after the glycosylation of aniline derivatives.  相似文献

We have previously reported that platelet-activating factor (PAF) induces proliferation and microbicidal activity of guinea pig bone marrow cells. In the present study, we have found that the conditioned medium of PAF- or nonmetabolizable PAF agonist-treated guinea pig bone marrow cells augmented DNA synthesis and induced microbicial activity of bone marrow cells. A PAF specific antagonist, CV-6209, inhibited generation of the active conditioned medium by PAF. Addition of the PAF antagonist only partially suppressed the augmentative effect of the active conditioned medium on DNA synthesis; this is consistent with the fact that, because of the rapid breakdown, no appreciable amount of PAF remained in the conditioned medium of PAF-treated cells. Although mouse bone marrow cells did not respond to PAF unlike guinea pig cells, their DNA synthesis was significantly enhanced by the conditioned medium of PAF-treated guinea pig bone marrow cells. Thus, some newly generated factor(s) distinct from the originally inoculated PAF seemed to modulate the bioactions of PAF on bone marrow cells. An appreciable amount of PAF was produced by calcium ionophore-treated guinea pig bone marrow cells. These findings indicate that PAF synthesized in guinea pig bone marrow cells induces generation in the cells of some factor(s) which affects proliferation or microbicidal activity.
